This original oil on panel painting dates from 1883 and depicts a troubadour, playing his guitar outside a high window. He is wearing traditional Andalusian dress, including a short jacket, black trousers, a bright red sash and a wide brimmed black hat. He is young and handsome, with a styled moustache, and will forever sing to his love!
