Available for sale from Big Sky Fine Art; this original watercolour and ink drawing by Welsh contemporary artist Liz Wall dated 2011.
The work is presented and supplied in a sympathetic contemporary mount and frame (which is shown in these photographs) and behind glass.
This is a stunning image from an almost unknown artist, quite unlike most of her other work. Very reminiscent of 20th century LP album cover art. A tasteful and intriguing interior decorators piece.
In the foreground is an exquisitely drawn black and white image of a young woman, shown to her waist, naked. Her left arm is outstretched as if she is leaning on her hand. Her right arm is clasped across her chest, half hiding her breasts. Her face is beautiful with high cheekbones and mesmerising eyes. She looks out, intently with a serene, enticing expression. She has delicate, almost transparent gossamer-like wings unfolded from her back and we suspect that she is in fact a magical creature, perhaps a fairy. The background is a mass of brightly coloured daisy like flowers, pinks and white, with yellow centres, and behind them is sweet pale green grass.
