Who we are

Big Sky Fine Art is an independent UK company owned and managed by husband-and-wife team Jane and Barrie Jones. It is both a business and a passion and has evolved from our own love of art. Jane has a professional legal background, having worked as a lawyer for over thirty years, and Barrie’s background is rooted in the Royal Navy and international commerce. As a couple we collected art privately for many years, before operating as a business for the last decade or so. Now we provide high quality original art to lovers of art all over the world.

What we do

We operate as an online gallery, selling fine art direct from our own website, and through a number of well-known specialist portals.

We offer an interesting and frequently changing collection that ranges in age from around 1800 to 2000. There is a strong emphasis on established artists whose works hold an intrinsic value. Works are mainly British, though not exclusively so. Pieces are sold framed unless otherwise stated and in excellent condition, commensurate with age.

We deal only in original art; no prints, or other forms of reproduction. Each piece is completely unique. The one you get is the only one!

We value integrity and professionalism in both the art and the service we provide. Prices are always clearly marked, and the online purchasing process is straightforward and very secure. Sensible conversations around price are welcome.

We thoroughly research each artist and present comprehensive biographies, viewed on the information page of each piece, to enable a better understanding of the background and cultural significance of each piece of art

We offer a discreet, professional and personal service, and the opportunity to arrange private viewing if required. Communication is first class; we are non-pretentious, trustworthy and efficient.

We provide a bespoke packing and shipping service world-wide, with occasional personal delivery within the UK.
